Briefing the C-Suite and Board

Closing the Loop

Book Me

A structured session for a leadership team or board: where AI actually changes their workflow, what stays human, and the discipline for telling the difference. The risks for boards, for leaders and for orgs - and the upsides.

Around 1% of enterprises have effectively integrated AI into workflows.

Many businesses have explored ways AI may help them, but for a range of concerns - centering on policy, procedures and protocols - can't deploy what they've learned.

This workshop is for organisations, directors of firms looking to assess both risks and opportunities of artificial intelligence in their enterprises.

The workshop takes participants through 'AI Foundations': chatbots like ChatGPT through to agents like Claude Cowork, moving from simple Q&A through to rich "co-design" tasks with AI.

Next, in 'Risks, Governance and Compliance', the workshop does a deep dive into privacy and data security, hallucinations, bias, sycophancy and 'AI psychosis', cyber threats, vendor and sovereign risks, prompt attacks and the 'lethal trifecta' that can poison autonomous agents.

The workshop concludes with AI Strategy and Organisational Readiness.

AI demands organisations transform. Should a business take an incremental path, getting 10-15% performance gains throughout the enterprise, or look toward a complete redesign of business processes around AI-enabled workflows? How can leaders assess opportunities while mitigating risks?

Who it's for

ELTs, boards, audit and risk committees, partner groups.

What happens in the room

The workshop moves through three connected modules. Foundations gives the leadership team a shared language for generative AI, prompting, co-creation and agents, including the memory, tools and goal logic that turn a chatbot into an autonomous worker. Mark then connects "good enough" AI to the repricing of cognitive labour and the changing economics of business processes.

Risks, Governance and Compliance examines hallucinations, bias, privacy, data sovereignty, security, sycophancy, prompt attacks, the lethal trifecta and shadow AI, together with practical mitigations and the questions boards should ask. Strategy and Organisational Readiness then moves from risk to action: incremental versus transformational adoption, clear ownership, costs and return on investment, and the three pillars of policies, practices and protocols.

Questions and discussion connect each topic to the organisation's actual workflows. Leaders identify where experimentation can begin safely, what must remain under human responsibility, how failures will be handled, and how the board, C-suite, technology and security teams stay aligned.

What they walk out with

  • A shared executive understanding of chatbots, agents, harnesses and the business consequences of lower-cost machine cognition.
  • A practical governance checklist spanning vendor, supply-chain, cyber, sovereign, legal and reputational risk.
  • A framework for deciding where AI may be used, where it should not be used, and how to experiment in ways designed to fail safely.
  • The foundations of an organisational roadmap built around policies, practices, protocols, accountable ownership and board oversight.
  • A method for comparing automation costs with human-led work, assessing return on investment, and choosing between incremental improvement and business transformation.
